🏨 Chamber’s Board votes in favor of boardwalk resort

Could a luxury resort take the place of Wonderland Pier? The chamber thinks so!

After much debate, and careful research, the largest business group in Ocean City has decided to back the plans for a Boardwalk luxury resort hotel. The new hot spot will replace the space left behind by Wonderland Pier’s amusement park.

The thumbs up didn’t come easily. The vote was instead contingent on a number of factors to bring the project together. One of the more surprising items was the request for developer Eustace Mita to gift the city Wonderland Pier’s 140-foot-tall Ferris wheel. Spokespersons for the chamber said the move would be a “symbol of goodwill and legacy.”
