Opponents call OC hotel plan a 'big mistake'

🏨 Ocean City hotel opponents call it a “Big Mistake”

Could a luxury resort take the place of Wonderland Pier? The ‘Big Mistake’ members don’t think it should.

Following a Chamber backing just a few weeks ago, a coalition of community groups dubbed “Big Mistake”  has formed to oppose the $150 million plan by Eustace Mita. A proposed luxury resort had found support from multiple local business associations prior to the community groups’ formation.

A release from the Big Mistake stated it was “representing thousands of citizens, residents, and regular vacationers” in its opposition.

“These groups argue that the project threatens the historic character, zoning integrity, and family-friendly culture that define Ocean City,” the statement said.
